Well I was in PepBoys killing some time and I decided to price out a set of 100 series pads just for the heck of it, well I picked up a set of EBC "Green Stuff" brake pads for a 98' 100 series for $4.90, yes that right, $4.90!!!! The guy said they were getting rid of over stock, I said I'll take them. Well my question is will these work on my 91 80 series stock calipers and rotors? I know you have to do some grinding on the pads, but I dont want to tear into it and they are not even close. If it wont work Im only out $5 bones. Anyone tried these pads?

I'm using the EBC Greenstuff pads spec'd for the 80. Front and rear. Good pads.

I can get the part numbers if anyone wants them. I saved the boxes.

I bought them for my fronts before I joined mud. No complaints so far. Again these are 80 series pads and I think mine were the 7000 series.

I'm not sure about "grinding" to fit a 91. I know that 100 series pads dropped right into my 97 calipers.

The problem you will run into is using new 100 pads on rotors that have wear patterns from 80 series pads. Most people recommend changing out old for new rotors when you move into a 100 series pad.
