very big changes for the club this year! I am looking forward to some renewed vigor and new ideas!

first, let's welcome some new faces tonight at the meeting-
Rob (izula on mud) in his '87 BJ70 with guest (forgot her name) and Chris (not officially on mud but lurks) in his FZJ80. it's great to see new faces. welcome guys!
thanks to Beno for hosting!

big discussion on the direction of the club took place. should the club in effect disband all formal organization and be only a mud based club with no officers, or keep our semi structured, laid back club. unanimously it was voted to keep the structure we have.

next was to reorganize how we run the officer positions. it was suggested and voted in to have 1 year terms. Vice pres automatically becomes president and a new VP will be voted in every year. Jon will remain treasurer for now as all the accounts are in his name and the ease of not having to transfer accounts makes it easier. SO- Daisy (Brian) was our VP and has now taken over as President. Ash was then nominated and voted in as VP. congrats gents!

next order was looking at our finances. this years #'s look like this-

income
Dues 468.24
Stickers 52.00
T-shirts 79.26
total 599.5

expenses
bank charges 16.05
meeting costs 346.41
website 134.40
total 496.86 difference + $102.64

Jon handed out a great spread sheet of the last 3 years, which shows more in depth what we've spent money on lately. so the next question is dues amount and what we spend $ on. fist up is the hdcruisers.org web site. we haven't been maintaining it and most new members are finding us through mud. Jon is going to contact Ron and see what the traffic is on the site. on the table is dropping the web site and forwarding all hits to our mud board. if we keep it, we need someone that can maintain it regularly.
second is the catered xmas party. it was our biggest expense. making it pot luck, we can reduce dues by quite a bit.

a new inventory on the t-shirts was done and Steve H now has the shirts. Steve will put the new inventory #'s on the sticky thread. and Jon will put pics of the shirts on post #1.

for new projects and ideas, Cy (old school) started a thread. please post up your ideas. Daisy will be delegating people to follow up on these. check out the thread!

Daisy, as his second act as president (first is projects above) forgot to set next months meeting.:flipoff2: we need a host and a date.

I'm sure I forgot something as my last act as pres, so post up what I forgot.

I am waiting on further information on the shirts - according to the previous counts in the thread there should be 113 and I only have 54 so there must be a further update on number sold or another box somewhere.

Hmmm? Think I was voted a year ago to at least upgrade the site to a new version with new videos, pics, and over all look?

I could perhaps start that soon now that it is dark after 5....:hhmm:

The thread in the sticky has not been updated since the last post, FYI.

We have been giving one to each new member (?) How many have we given away that way?

New and old members have gotten shirts. At least 4-5 members have asked me to bring shirts to AMTOY to give to them there since they couldn't make meetings.

That being said I really haven't kept track in awhile.

As I stated in my PM, at least 10-15 were brought with me on events/trips and given out to "prominent" cruiser community members (event organizers and vendors).

EDIT: If thr club leadership thinks this was a bad idea, ill be happy to pay for the shirts myself then. Not a problem from my end.
