My passenger side wiper is driving me nuts with the skipping/chatter. Anyone else have this or know how to fix it. I saw (and can't find it again) a thread about re-bending the arm so the blade is parallel with the glass but I don't want start bending things and make it worse. The wipers are fairly new and I have rain-x washer fluid as well.

You sure its the wiper? I had some chatter from the PS, but it turned out to be the rubber windshield trim.

Are we talking chatter when in use or when not in use. I took it that the chatter was when using the wipers. Which case i had that issue and simply changed wiper blades for new ones, the housing with blades.

I've always had bad luck with aftermarket blades including Bosch.

I stick with OEM blades and inserts. Clean the windshield with Invisible glass to get rid of any oils and apply some rain x on it. Rain-x washer fluid is ok for cleaning but it doesn't repel as well as the stuff you apply directly to the windshield.

Yes chatter when they are in use. I am also using OEM blade inserts and they are only a couple months old.

I've been using the Rain-X washer fluid for years now (as I figure it's better than generic gas station washer fluid) but I've never really been happy with it. My wife's BMW has whatever the dealer refills it with and it seems much more potent. No idea what they use, but if anyone has suggestions for better fluid I'm all ears...

In a side note, I had my LC's windshield professionally applied with Optimum Opti-Glass Coating about 5 months and 7k mi ago and it kicks ass over treating glass Rain-X by far. It's supposed to last 2-3 years on one application, who knows if it will last that long, but I'll get it done again or do it myself once it wears off. I live near the water and its parked outside -- water just rolls off, bugs don't really stick and the wipers glide along noiselessly.

Put some dish soap on a damp/wet paper towel and wipe down the rubber blade - rinse off the blade (I use a a garden hose) - it works for me every time.

Do this. Works for me too.

Nope it's the wiper. When I use them the passenger side skips and bounces towards the end of its pass.

I recently clay bar'd, coated my windshield with rain x, and treated the wipers and cowl plastics themselves with 303 Aerospace Protectant. No chattering even with a nice thick sheen of hackberry tree sap coating my windshield.

Everyone should get on board with the 303----This stuff is badass!
