Is there a sweet spot as to the angle of an actual motor mount? The more of angle seems to act as a cradle. The less of an angle (flat) looks like it would be easier to rip the motor mount apart under a torque load on the power train.

My Application is that I am fabricating up the motor mounts for my 4BTA Cummins that is going into my rig. I plan on using new 2F motor mounts and will be making new frame mounts as well as engine plate mounts. I was going to use the Gel mounts but will probably going to stick with the 2F mounts.

I have searched other threads and forums and found there are about as many way of doing it as there are building rear traction bars.

Any advice would be appreciated.

There is no perfect answer. Build it strong and you will be happy.

Consider the Lc's mounts are fairly flat. The BH mounts are perfectly flat.

Do what fits in your application. And call it good..
