I do not believe these numbers really mean much. Even though my sister's rig (#306) has the lower 40th number, the VIN is 800 numbers higher than mine - both rigs having been built within a week or two of each other. Go figure.

Here's a related question:
Does the little number plaque come off, so that the cruddy wood grain underneath can be replaced or removed, and then the plaque re-added?

Yeah, yeah, woodgrain is evil..... but I wish I could do something with the messed up factory wood without losing the 40th badge I paid so much extra for!

Yep, peels right up with your fingernails. Use a razor blade if you like. Easily re-mounted with original adhesive, in my case.

Mine is Antique Sage Pearl and is number 0001...thought this on would've been kept in Toyota's vault!!
