IH8BODYWORK

Body filler going on today, something new to me.

They call it body WORK for a reason! The first puddle hardened up on me in just a couple of minutes, I was still trying to lay it on nice! I think I did better on the next few batches of filler. I am using Rage Gold body filler, the 85* temps and 80%+ humidity probably didn't do me any favors.





Can I put another layer of filler on top of filler that has been on for over 24 hours with 80 grit scratches?
I have a few spots that I am not happy with that I think will need another layer to fill.

Time is ticking........

Those factory spot weld are long gone now! I did weld the fender well back into the panel but it definitely needed filler to cover my handy patchwork.

Negative, this is my first time doing any type of bodywork. It has been a great learning experience. I can say without a doubt I have a serious newfound respect for those cars at auctions that have laser straight, flawless paint jobs.

Another coat of epoxy primer is planned for the morning. After that seam sealer will be applied to a few areas, then on to color by the afternoon if the plan works out!

Yes.

According to the spec sheet from SPI it is a perfectly acceptable method.
