Amount of Throttle Pedal Travel for WOT? (1 Viewer)

For an early 70s 40 with a stock carb, how far should the gas pedal travel to get wide open throttle? I am getting about 2 1/4 inches which seems low to me. Thoughts?

It should travel to the floor. As the pedal hits the floor, the carb throttle arm should be contacting the WOT stop.

hmmmm....mine is definitely not doing that. It stops short of hitting the floor. More digging...
