Ambient Lighting Upgrade for Land Cruisers

So I received the Lexus overhead console. It's from an LS460. Same as the LX570 console or so it appears.

The outside frame has the same dimensions and fits in the LC. However, that's about the end of similarities.

Here is my late model, 2018 overhead panel. I presume that all 2016* panels are like this.

Note it's different from the original postings that show an earlier console and circuit board.

The LS/LX switch row for the map lights will fit in the LC housing but the switches are not interchangeable.

The circuit boards are vastly different. Here is the Lexus board

Sadly the LC switches are solid black plastic and no amount of light will make them illuminate like the painted white plastic Lexus switches. So that is dead in the water unless we can find another market LC or model that has the same switches in black painted white plastic.

The Lexus ambient light housings on the switch housing are slightly larger and a similar shape to the LC ones. Note the tapered, clear plastic diffuser in the Lexus model. My hope is to extract this frame from the Lexus housing and add it to the LC housing.

There is no room on the LC circuit board to mount the Lexus ambient LEDs (LED114 & LED115) on the Lexus board.

I may try to extract those but perhaps a 3mm led from SuperBright LEDs might be a better option.

This could be mounted above the diffuser similar to how @ArnieC did his install,
for a similar to stock appearance.

I'll post more once I extract the diffuser housing from the Lexus switch housing

I was able to upgrade the LC console with the felt lined glasses holder and chrome trimmed release button from the Lexus console.
