Am I missing studs on the rear hubs?? Pics

I never noticed this until today, on both sides there are empty threaded holes.. The studs that are there though make an even circle so I'm not sure if I'm fine. Can someone clarify please?

That is so you can thread a 12mm bolt in those two holes to remove the axles from the hub
