I'm trying to help my son with an alternator rebuild. And here goes a long ramblling mess -
BJ75, 3B motor, 24V, VIN JT1V0BJ7509002075
Existing alternator part # is 27030-56090. I can't find this number on any of the parts sites we check. One proposed replacement from Japanparts comes up on Amazon indicating 24V, 30A rating.
We use the parts diagrams on Partsouq, and there are 4 alternator diagrams. This is the link to the one that physically looks like the one we have:
Partsouq parts diagram
This diagram indicates part #'s: 27020-56110 for 24V,25A and 27060-58090 for 24V,30A
For the rebuild we were looking at bearings, brushes, and maybe springs. Any other suggested parts?
Now its confusing because there are different part #'s available for most parts.
Bearing for alternator drive end frame: 90099-10137 for 24V,25A,30A and 90099-10178 for 24V,30A
Bearing for alternator rotor: 90099-10140 for 24V, 30A
Brushes: 27371-56070 for 24V,25A,30A and 27371-63020 for 24V,30A
Springs: 27372-56070 for 24V,25A,30A and 27372-72100 for 24V,30A
I'm just looking for guidance on which parts we likely need. Should I just go with the 24V,30A parts?
And again, any other recommended parts?

Just send it out to Cameron at Mosley Motors.... @FJ60Cam

He does an incredible job with these old 24v units.
Yeah, I know we can send it to Mosley. But trying to work through it w my son for that exposure, knowledge, etc. He’s @theglobb w the red Troopy.

Before you spend $ on parts, check the condition of the spline drive that connects the alternator armature to the vacuum pump (Have to pull off the pump)!
