Could be a dumb question...

On the Auto hj60 and Auto hj61 the alternator pumps the trans fluid around right ?

second question does anyone have a line on one of these alternator?

No it doesn't do that.

The alternator does have a vacuum pump on the back on all 2H and 12HT engines.. this provides vacuum for braking (and another minor tasks requiring a vacuum source).

Is it a 12v or 24v? Lots of discussion on MUD if you search

24v

Hey thanks for the replies,

24 volt alternator, there are lines coming out that are not vacuum,

trying to figure out if an manual alternator will work on auto truck as the manual ones are easy to get but the auto ones not so much

cheers !

Really? I would have thought the other way around - that is, if there is a difference. There seems to be way more autos than manuals.

I looked up the part numbers on Partsouq. I have an '87 HJ60 H55F, and the part number for my alternator comes up as 27020-68150. The automatic looks like it uses the same part number.

I have a lot of experience with 2H engines, I'm unaware of a difference between the alternators for autos and manuals.

Alternators are the same.

sweet!

good to know they are the same thanks so much everyone!
