Alternator painting? (1 Viewer)

Has anyone taken apart their alternator and restored it and painted it ? I am thinking about doing that while i have it out right now

Replacing the radiator and other cooling parts right now. Just removed everything today:

Radiator
Fan Shroud
Hoses
Fan Pulley and Belt

Also thinking about painting the fan shroud and everthing...

I taped mine off and painted it. I wouldn't recommend tearing into an alt. just to paint it, unless you rebuild them for a living or want to take all the part to have it rebuilt after you paint it.

Well, if you take it apart to paint it, might as well have it powder coated instead. Some of the smaller shops can give you a great deal on powder coating.

Had mine rebuilt. He spray painted it. But also sprayed right over the toyota sticker!!!! Wanted to stay original and now can not see the sticker or numbers or TEQ symbol......
