Did you misplace a insulator when you did some rewiring?
Edit .. both those wires, not just the white one need to be insulated.

I've just brought the vehicle, even the original alt did not have an insulator.

It's a 12ht 12v mate

Ah yep there was a sneaky one aha. Now to work out what I've damaged

Likely just the fusible for the alt damaged hopefully.

These seem to be fine when tested

If the b+ main charge wire, the white one I think, has 12v at the ring terminal where it screws to the alt it should hopefully be ok.

the correct connector on top is the KEY ?

what connector DO U NEED ?

somebody changes the PLUGS on top

see the black and white diagram its a 3 pin square green plug for sure ?

this is the correct green profile connector someone changed out ?

Yep it was changed somewhere along the way. Just got it running and charging 13.6 volts. It was the missing insulator that caused the 100 amp fusible link to blow out. Thanks everyone for your help!

Seems like I may have not been so lucky, I'm now having issues with my brakes, the pedal is going hard when pushed, like there's no vacuum to the booster
