I am on to the next project. I am changing the transmission oil, filter, and kick down cable. I got the 10mm bolts off and working on the pan. I tried a blade. Cut my hands, but didn't cut the FIPG. I see in the repair manual that I need an oil pan separator (which I dont have).

Does anyone have a hint, trick, or magic spell to use as an alternative? If not, I will just order the tool.

I used a flat blade scrapper, it was a thin flexible one.

I don’t think there is a transmission filter to change. The “filter” is built into the pan and it’s more like a metal strainer. X2 on the thin metal scraper.
