I need to have some work done on my fj80 and have been trying to get it into ACC for over a month. I would love to have them do the work but they are saying they are so busy right now they will not be able to get me in to do the repairs until January or February. Can anyone recommend any other shops around Atlanta (preferably near Marietta)?

Thanks - Farrell

Call Patrick at Greer Automotive in Woodstock. Great guy and he does good work. 678 540 7131

What kind of work do you need performed?

Craig Automotive on Lower Roswell is another option. I just started using him for my 05 100. He really knows these trucks and reviews online are great.

Peter is not necessarily close to Marietta, but he not unreasonably far away. I have found his workmanship to be consistently high quality. The work he has done for me has been done right and has held up without any issue. He does not work for free and the trek over to Norcross from Kennesaw/Marietta area can be a hassle, but trusting my Cruisers to a good mechanic carries the day from my perspective.

Good luck with getting your truck repaired soon.

Baker off-road : Baker Automotive Off-Road Specialists

He's a Jeep guy, but he's worked on my 80 a couple of times now, and is fantastic to work with. Quick turnaround. Very fair pricing, and great work. His shop is in the Milton/Alpharetta area. I'll be using him for anything I can't do myself from here on out.

Thanks All. I have a few things to attend to but the main one is addressing the coolant leak on the passenger floor board. I am assuming it is bad heater core.

Have you confirmed it is coolant and not water? Just asking because the sunroof drains are known to clog and cause wet floor boards.

I've used East Hiram 4x4 off 360 and Old Atlanta Rd in Powder Springs/Hiram. They did my front hub rebuilds for a great price, not sure how otherwise up-to-speed they are on other 80-specific issues though.

GAS in Woodstock has a great reputation too.

Did you find someone?

Another vote of confidence for Peter Merriam.....I actually took my first few Cruisers to him after moving to Greenville and then Trollhole's opened up locally! He's honest and pretty timely in getting work done.

I'm getting the same thing, since i am not going to be using my rear seats i am pulling out the passenger greater assembly and redoing lines.
it hasn't rained in a while and i had warm damp carpet on the passenger side.
i have sealed off my sunroof after making sure all the drain lines were cleared, yes it idi leak but now i have traced it to the heater unit under the front seat-waiting on a heater control valve as the old one was leaking through.

If it was a 100 I would say it is the AC drain.

ACC quoted me $600 in labor to install front icon coil over kit in my 2014 cruiser. I hear they do outstanding work and want to use them but This just seems high to me. Any opinions on this labor price?
