Almost full bolt in 4BD1T diesel conversion for FJ80, FZJ80 for $5500. Buy this conversion to put in your sweet, locked, lifted, armored 80 and double you gas mileage. With 35” tires these conversions get around 22 mpg, with the current 31”tires it gets 20mpg. Divorce forces sale, my loss is your gain. You will need to grind your stock motor mount perches off, grind the diesel perches off the frame they are on and then wield them on your frame. The intercooler and radiator need a mount wielded on your vehicle to support the bottom, minor fabrication, top has a bolt on plate. Your gas filler tube - the unleaded restrictor needs to be removed – requires removing rubber connector hose from tank to filler tube and then a dremmel tool. Removing the fuel pump in the tank (diesel do not use the gas fuel pump).

Comes with a 1991 FJ80 chassis. The ’91 cruiser part of the project is mostly what forces sale. If you are interested in buying the vehicle and keeping the engine in the ’91 with the lift I have installed I am asking $6000 (otherwise I am keeping the OME lift currently installed)

What you get:
4bd1t engine with 190k - $3000
700r4 tranny rebuilt with 1k on it - $1000
Mark's adapter for t-case -$1450
Isuzu swapper adapter for engine -$1000
Blast performance turbo with 1k -$800
Driveshaft machining -$500
Engine and tranny mounts -$500
Intercooler -$100
Aluminum radiator -$250
Dual batteries -$200
Tranny cooler -$50
Diesel torque converter -$500
Balanced flywheel -$200
Remote oil filter and fuel/water
Separator -$200
Isspro gauges, tach sender
Gauge mount -$400
Thermostatic fan switch -$40
Custom exhaust -$400
'91 Land Cruiser -$1000
4bd spare injection pump, injectors
spare engine parts -$400 Total - $12,000

This conversion needs a 2.5” lift – needs OME 2850 heavy load springs in the front to account for the weight of the engine or if you have 2851s already you could use spring spacers. Conversion also needs 35” tires to make gearing correct for the transmission.

The good:
Turbo builds up to 17psi, Strong running engine, almost new tranny
Needs:
Mount fabricated for AC compressor – space on upper left side of engine
Injection pump and injectors need to be rebuilt (small amount of white smoke and unburnt diesel smell) – most with this conversion have boosted the fueling and the professional way is to have a diesel shop increase the cc’s on the injectors and to match the injection pump at the same time – might cost somewhere between 1-2k

$5500 is the lowest I am willing to part with this engine package which is less than the cost of the major components:
engine, engine to tranny adapter, tranny, and tranny to t-case adapter.
Not only does putting a diesel in an 80 double the mileage but it doubles the range of the stock fuel tank.
