Absolutely awesome!!!

Congratulations love2fly,

WOW WOW WOW ! ! !

Man your 45 has turned out to be one awesome cruiser. You can see the hours and hours that you have put in and what a pay off you have got back :wrench: When I am lacking motivation to go out into the cold during winter to work on the cruiser or when I think why why why?, I will be thinking back to this thread and your awesome results to drive me on.

These pics are making me jealous but I want more!

Time for some well deserved 's, some wheelin :steer: and some action shots. (the action shots are for the rest of us!)

Looks great.

What seats did you use?

If you already have a 2" lift, I believe you are close the threshold for using the stock steering geometry.

Cheers

Thanks again guys for the feed back, it's a fine motivator. But if I may, all you guys are the one's who makes it all happen. Each one of you have, will, and will again create not just a off road truck but a masterpiece. We are the keepers of a special belief, the archaeologist on the dig for what is history, and bringing that find back from possible obscurity to a visual piece of working art so not one, but all can enjoy what once was and still is one of the best off road vehicles ever made.
So, my hat is really off to you gentlemen for your creations and masterpieces that are completed, and in the works that have inspired me and others, as it will hopefully a generation more if we are careful with what we have now.

Still tiring to capture the real color of the 464 paint, what a crazy color.

The painting of the tailgate letters was the very last item to be complete from the body/paint build. DONE, much better.

Looking really good! Amazing how much those white letters makes the overall look different - like more stock! I love the color. Great job : )

Thanks guys it does pop out now with the letters high lighted. The letter tape I got at the auto body shop was the key, without that and a good scrub pad it may of turned out different. I guess I can say I am really done now but I will leave it at 99.9%, as we all know we really are never truly done.
Now to play in the mountains.

:bounce:

Not sure what type of letter tape you used. Are they vinyl stick-on letters, or something specific to mask the letters before painting?

Wow that's one nice 45! Personally, I don't like the wheels (rims), but of course that's personal opinion. I have envy, the good one tho. Congrats and enjoy!

The tape I am referring to is the tape used to go around the outside of the tailgate letter (TOYOTA). Good quality 1/8 trim tape at any auto paint supply. The letters were painted when all the tailgate area was masked off. Use a spray can of gloss white made by SEM. Took about 1 hour to mask all the letters.

Yep, taking the old gal for a run in the mountains today. Third trip and she always loves it.
SOOT, I know I am at the end of my build and you should be somewhere in the middle of yours so I will be watching for you and your work, should turn out to be one of the best in Australia. As for the flag, my whole family but me :meh: are all from Great Britain and my uncle and aunt and cousins are from Perth so have a little fondness for both, it's in the blood.
