So. I still cannot get my T belt alarm to shut off and now I have a host of other lights going off. The e-break light the battery light(battery is now showing low) and down to the right of my steering wheel on the dash, I have the 'filter light' going on. I also have the nift light that sits in front of the shifter displaying AT oil Temp...
Does anyone have any clues as to why all this stuff would go at once. I pulled the little grommet out and pushed the button to reset the T-belt maintenance alarm but this seems to have done nothing.
lj78....anyone wanna buy a prado!
any tips would be much abliged.
thanks

This may sound strange, but I think it's directly related to your electrical circuit.
Check the main fuses, check the fuses in general, check looms for wear or damage. Check the continuity to mass, as well from engine to mass and battery to mass.

you have a short somewhere that could be from your stereo install, do you still have my number it is something that got fused togethor draining and shorting, if the fuses are OK pull the stereo fuse first see if the prob. goes away, if not work down the line
