I rebuilt my 60203 carb today and in the process broke off the red lead from the idle circuit solinoid. I thought perhaps I could re-solder the wire but it's thinner than a cats whisker.

Other than getting a replacement, getting a new carb or swapping into a weber, are there any stunning underground fixes for this, or have I screwed the pooch?

I go for the pooch

Get a new fuel cut switch... after you try the soldering...use a small solder iron to mend the ends together. The units dont carry much voltage so even a small connection should allow the unit to function.
