Aircon belt slipping when going through water. (1 Viewer)

I've tightened the pulley that runs the aircon belt twice now and at the time it fixes the problem, but a little while later the problem shows again. The adjustment is as far as it can go, does this mean the belt is stretched or possibly the wrong type?

I have a replacement belt that I haven't installed yet, do you think this will do the trick?

Crooozer, I'd say its time to change the belts not just the ac belt and check the idlers on both sets incase they're beginning to be noisy. The bearings might be dry. Drop by Offroad 80's • Portal and say g'day if you havent already.

Do I just grease the join, or have to open up to get to the bearing?

I'm not sure but I believe they are a sealed bearing. Best suggestion I can give is releasing the belts and spinning the idlers by hand. If they're tight and dry or very loose and noisy I would recomend replacing them before they give up the ghost.
I'm not sure on how much they would cost to replace but can find out
