I can tell you that the ac clutch will engage and my rpms go from about 650 to 750. The ac clutch definitely cycles on and off. It definitely spends more time off than on the colder it gets.
I can't say for sure that there's no ambient air temp sensor to turn the ac on and off but I think there is. I believe it's going off pressures in the system
