I had no compression in two of my cylinders and all along i thought it was the valves. So I removed the head from of my 2f, and EUREKA!! it was a head gasket which had blow apart between cylinders 3 and 4. Great now just clean the head and put it back on. There was this one thing though that broke in my hands when I was removing the parts to from the head. Book calls it the Air Injection Manifold. Thin piece of rust, shouldnt be too bad for a new one..........WRONG!!!!!!

The air injection manifold is $244!
Is there a cheaper place to buy one than toyota?

Also, I noticed that on cylinders 2 and 5, the top of the pistons were blackend, were as 1,3,4,6 looked normal. Has anyone else seen this?

$100 is much more resonable, plus i dont care if its used!

Probably running rich. Were you running with the choke on for a while to compensate for the low compression/low vac ?

If you're still looking for one, drop me a line, I think I have one sitting in my crawlspace when I pulled it off my 60...
