Dang i did not know that about ireland!
While im totally unfamiliar with whatever MOBD is, i do know that T offers techstream as a subscription for a low cost service option and smaller outfits to use via their official portal. Certainly there is an equivalent MOBD interface used in that region you / friend can get a hold of? Get on the techstream website and check it out. If not there must be the same accessible wiring harnessing at play throughout the vehicle? It may be yall have to start probing and meter and shorting terminals lol. But i dont know how much you like your friend either. Stealer is the other option but who an i kidding, they dont even know what AHC is.
Yes it is astounding isn’t it #AnyMal:
I know the Global Dealer proficiency in dealing with AHC is at best questionable but here in Ireland it is a dismal.
This is the route cause of how my friend (disabled) has come to ask my assistance. She has been with the dealership a long time ago, and then two other independent businesses.
Isn’t it remarkable how Toyota / Lexus with the global reputation for reliability have let the ball drop with AHC backup and support.
The AHC system is a Master Stroke of design and engineering in line with Toyotas reputation and yet they have somewhat let this awesome asset down by poor backup and support.

Just to give you a little background on this cruiser.
A front strut/ shock absorber or hydraulic ram burst.
The cruiser hit the bump stops.
It was driven for a few weeks on the bump stops before the cruiser was put out of commission.
Eventually the front struts hydraulic rams were replaced but alas despite a large effort they could not get the AHC To function or start working again.

The dealership only offered to start replacing components, one after the other but to no avail.
Then a specialist electronics auto technician had a go and the a top rate auto mechanic.
The cruiser ended up parked up for a few months until the owner heard of the trouble I had with my LC100. A very similar story.
However after passing my cruiser through a couple of mechanics I eventually realised for financial reasons I would have to do it myself.
I have long term health issues and am also registered disabled but it was either fix it myself or scrap it.
So I just began working at it at my own pace. Luckily I have my own workshop and Lift I have the ability to raise the cruiser off the ground so I can work at everything without having to work at ground level.
Over time I got through a lot of diagnosis.
In the end I solved my problem by taking the AHC pump apart, cleaning two petite micro filters and reassemble.

However I’m learning the LC200 is similar in some elements and very different in others.

It is 2am locali here.
Hopefully I will get a look for that ECU tomorrow thanks to your guidance on ECU location.
Techstream is essential but I know how to test quite a bit manually which will keep me entertained until I get Techstream sorted some way.

Thank you.
