Hi all,

Looking to replace the factory skid plates with an aftermarket product that will provide better protection. Looking for your experience with the options out there.

The vehicle in question is running the stock suspension, and is used for desert exploring trips that may include some 4wd action. So it may crawl some rocks but is not a rock crawler. ;)

The products I see available are from Slee, ASFIR, and maybe Trail Tailor? (did not see any 100 Series skids on their web site.)

What are the options available? Front, transmission, gas tank?

Thanks in advance for your comments/opinions.

I think Dissent and BIOR also offer skids as well as ARB

Lots of choices based on budget, intended use, weight factors, etc

BIOR ?

ASFIR offers Front, Transmission, and Transfer Case skid options. All in aluminum. For proper fit, just make sure you order the ones that are listed for Petrol models vs the Diesel models.

I have their full set and I really like them and I am impressed by their quality. Being aluminum, they are lightweight and easy to install by yourself if necessary.
