hey does anyone know if a US WHEEL rim with some xtra backspacing would fit no problems on my 97 fzj80

As long as it 16" or greater, 6x5.5, and 4.5" or less back spacing, it should fit.

Will these work w/no modifications? If so, what will be the difference compared to my stock 16 x 8 FZJ 80 rims? I'm told these 16 x 7 rims are Standard Toyota backspacing, 4.5". Offset is +15mm. These work beautifully on almost all Toyota trucks.

You better make sure that the hub fits berore you "GO FOR IT". This is the biggest problem other than back spacing when it comes to fitting a rim. It is not all about the lug pattern.

x2 on the hub, make sure that your larger toyota hub fits, I believe and I could be wrong, but the toyota hub measures 108mm. I personally settled on some cragar soft 8 black steelie wheels from summitt (50 bucks a piece and 2500 pound weight rating) for my 92 LC and some Fj cruiser black 17" steelies for my 94.
