I did a search and saw the idea mentioned, but could not find anyone that has actually accomplished this. Has anyone successfully mounted aftermarket gauges in the stock openings. I was hoping to find some that has fit a quad gauge (fuel, temp, pressure, volts) in the left hole and a speedo/tach combo in the right hole.

You could fiberglass a copy of the stock cluster housing and then cut holes to fit new stuff... Otherwise might not fit perfectly.

That's a lot of work. I know someone one the board has done that. I sent him an email but did not hear back. You should also be able to cut a template from aluminum to fit as well, but I haven't seen that done either. I know they wont' fit perfectly, but seems like making an adapter to fit a 4" gauge in a 4 1/2" hole out to be doable. I found a quad gauge at SpeedHut with setting fuel resistance that should work well in place of the existing quad gauge.
