Has anyone who reads this forum had one of these mufflers installed and recorded a difference in fuel consumption over a significant period of time and distance? I'm trying to get some quantitative data, although I realize the sample size on this forum make it relatively anecdotal. However, I'd be interested to hear from someone who has done this and what the results were. I'm looking for results, not speculation, and preferably over several thousand km or more of driving.

Hi Martin. Let me be subjective...

I like mine on the BJ74. Just ordered one for Petra's HJ61. :D

I made too many changes all at once to tell how much difference it made on the road trip to Alaska: went from relatively light daily driving to almost 7000lbs for 7500kms, went from 255/85R16 to 35x10.5SSR's, went from 1:1 high to 1:08 high range gearing, went from stock exhaust to 2.5"...etc.

If you are going to put some sort of muffler in the system, I would go Aero Turbine.

I should add I have no muffler on Poo (BJ60 with 13BT), and follow the stock routing with 2.5" piping. Sound is not unreasonable as Goldboy says.

Stock routing followed with the BJ74 too.

I prefer the exhaust with the Aero Turbine installed, but for Poo it does not matter.

Thanks Greg, that is helpful as always. I was looking at poo today leaving work, I like the name! Anyone with any info. on fuel economy differences post Aeroturbine?
