Looking for advice installing a 396 sbc on my 95 4runner do i need to remove the fire qall or just make space to it to fit

A 396?? You'd probably have to do some major clearancing of the firewall I would think. I'd start with getting the dimensions of the 396 and comparing them to that of the 5VZ-FE for starters. From there you can sort of measure out where you're going to have clearance issues.
