I just received my 1/4" aluminum BudBuilt skids and reaalllly want to mount them up...

However- I'm on stock suspension for another month until my OME lift kit gets installed. I already have Slee Sliders, an ARB compressor and half height ARB drawers + a cargo barrier in the rear. On my quick math the skids are about 110 lbs but they remove 50+ lbs of factory crap- so call it 60lbs net. That on top of the ~400lbs I have installed seems like I'm running up against a weight issue.

Can the stock springs handle all that (plus a couple of kids and a dog) without sagging in the rear and reducing ground clearance or ride quality to a noticeable point for the next month or so? 🤔

Think of it this way: would you worry about putting 60lbs of groceries in the trunk?
Definitely not on a temporary basis but my worry is all this is adding up- if I've got 400-500lbs of permanent added weight and I add me/wife, a couple kids, a dog and some bags I'm just about at the payload max on those stock springs! I feel like I've read people hitting bumpstops fully loaded with less permanent upgrades...? :/

@04UZJ100 Is correct.

You’ll lose a negligible amount of ride height. And they might prevent your cats getting stolen.
