I’m an iPhone user and this is what I use:

App name: OBD Fusion (full pack version $30+)
B9A0DE5E-6DD5-44F7-91E1-E4BE134475CD.jpeg

Connection: Wireless (thru WiFi, not Bluetooth)
Dongle:
Amazon product ASIN B06XTP3HDG
PROs: super easy to use and can be used with your other toyota/lexus vehicles upto 2022 models.
CONs: if I switch to another window and out of the app (not close it, just switch to other app window) for 3 minutes, it’ll disconnect and I have to reconnect and follow the 3-step prompt on my phone again.

Yes I have done that paid for the pro version and got the toyota 2000 add on for $20 new zealand but still no go connecting to the ecu, my phone connects to the bluetooth elm327 fine but the app can't connect to the ecu I have a 2000 landcruiser VX 1hd-fte 4.2 diesel 4 speed autoNew Zealand build, very disapointing!!
Google tells me New Zealand and Australia did not adopt OBDII as a standard until 2006. You may want to research what standard your truck was built with and find something compatible.

I have read just today somewhere that the diesel wasn't OBD2 compatible.
