Hey everybody. Been looking for a GX470 for awhile now and finally found a one owner with all records 2005 Lexus GX470 sport in Florida with no rust.

Used to own a 2006 Tacoma double cab sport. Sold that for a v8 4Runner but couldn’t stand my head hitting the roof with the sunroof option. Quickly sold that and finally found what I really wanted which was this GX470.

Looking forward to modding it.

Stay tuned.

Installed King’s remote resi front and rear.

Fronts are extended travel 700lbs spring rate for a 2010-newer 4Runner with KDSS. The resi brackets and longer resi hose are the best solution for mounting on the GX470 with KDSS.

Rears Kings are for a 03-09 4Runner.

For UCA’s I went with icon delta joints.

Rear coils are icon 2” lift for a 03-newer 4Runner.

I went with Metaltech air to coil conversion kit with upper isolators.

I wasn’t going to order new bump stops but since I was already ordering the Kings from wheelers I went ahead and ordered the superbumps front and rear. I have heard great things about their bumpstops.

Wow, you are going all out. Very nice top of the line components.

Yeah, I decided to get a Gobi ladder to carry the extra fuel. I still need to figure out how to attach the fuel containers to the ladder.

And figure out which containers to buy.

Wow 34 gallons sounds like quite a bit! All these mods have a domino effect. Extra tank means you need to relocate spare. Which means you need a rear bumper. Which means you are heavy and need better suspension!

No wonder @ADVFamilyHauler went with king shocks and heavy springs. He knows he might get all gear and he’s ready!

Oh yeah, I am building it for adventures! Went with the 700 springs up front knowing I would eventually get a bumper, winch and armor. Didn’t know the ride would be as bumpy as it is with no weight. Luckily the Demello bumper was on sale for a price I couldn’t pass up. I am not building it to be a mall crawler even though I have a 2 year old daughter so I have a feeling some mall crawling will be happeneing in my future.

Ordered a set of 4xinnovations sliders. Went with dom metal with square tube inner. Looked into the metaltech bolt-ons but I didn’t like how they bolted on. Pretty terrible design if you will be doing a lot of off-roading.

how are those superbump? Was debating on buying some wheelers to replace the old OEM ones.
