which tent
where did you order it from
why that model
how was the transaction etc?

thanks man!

I got this one fromt he quasis mud buy
https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=131806
I got it because it was $390 to my door. I wanted a clam shell style I am not a fan of the magnollia ones they just don't look outback ish to me. and they take up too much weight and room on the top. they work for some just not my cup of tea. anyway I wanted one that will be functional, and look the part a bit,AND i did not want to spend $1500. I am sure the expensive tents are prolly a bit higher quality but this one is pretty decent. its got a cover and nice mechanics to it to mount it to 2 thule bars then its up to you how and where you mount the thule bars.
i will work on a universl (cruiser and trailer) mounting method when I get back and hopefully actuallly get o unfold it all the way. the ladder is cool but it looks like it will be time consumming to put it together on setup at a camp site. might have to use it and modifiy it a bit well see.

is there a decent "local" source for these trailers?

You can PM Koffer (Todd O.), he's in NJ and had/has a bunch.

Or keep an eye out for one of Michele's (militarytires.com) on Ebay they seem to be dropping them all over the country. Mine was a stray, it was left with a tire delivery locally.

Related to this... Mike Kear (Junk on the board) lives near Koffer and is driving up to NH many weekends a month for ski related activities. I'm sure he'd be willing to tow a trailer up from NJ to some meeting point along his way...
