Adhesive velcro for canvasback?

I picked up a used Canvasback rear hatch cover on facebook, but the adhesive on the car side is shot (doesn't stick to the plastic). What is a good replacement?

Watching... I have the exact same issue with mine. Have debated putting in snap fasteners instead of the velcro but that seemed like too much work for me at the time.

Canvasback customer service let me know that they sell it on the web site. $6 for 6 feet (+ $9 shipping to me).

I use that 3M Velcro that you can get a Lowes or Home Depot for hard stuff.

For Canvass I use the one from Walmart that comes in a role and you can have it sewn on the canvas. Then either the shoe repair guy or the sail boat sail sewing shop sews it on for me.
