Adding Mini Truck PS to a 2H diesel, which package from JTO to buy?

Hello-

I am trying to determine which setup package from this page at JTO (see below) I need to buy to add Power steering to the 2H diesel straight 6. I have already bought the steering box and a complete setup (reservoir, pump, all lines, cooler lines) from a 1983 Toyota Mini Truck.

It appears that there are several options. I have done mini truck conversions to a 1974 FJ40 before. It appears that things are a bit more complex for mini truck PS to a 2H. I used the search function and through four pages of 3b related applications.

2h adding PS

Hi Charles:

The 2H is not mine. I am trying to help a guy in Denmark who doesn't speak the best English and needs help with adding PS. There is no sense in him reading on MUD as it is in English.

The 2H is in his HJ47 I think. He doesn't have PS and needs it.

So he already has the mini truck power steering stuff? Otherwise I'd suggest Steve at Extreme Bends. He's got lots of 'Cruiser parts.

truck is 1977 HJ45 which bracket to add mini PS pump

the truck is 1977 HJ45 ...I am trying to determine which bracket will allow the owner to add PS pump? He already has the bracket for the PS box from a 1983 mini.

Advice?

I thougght the PS box it's fine .. but your need to make a braket from scratch ( little complicated if you have AC compresor ) to run aditional belt for PS pump ..

in the 2H the PS pump are located front the injection pump .. in the lower and little complicated position in the engine ..

If youre going to do that, make it POST 1996 IFS steering.. That set up is WAY superior to earlier stuff!!!!
