I thought about how easily it would be for someone to steal my spare tire/wheel now that I have a swing out. So I after going to the range today, I looked at my trigger lock for my HK 40 USP and "ah hah". It fits absolutely perfect. Nice and tight and even displays the lock nicely. Dont know if it will work well for others, but you could always try it.

Looks nice. One thing I found was that in the PNW is that locks can rust in a way that I was unable to get my spare off. Probably not an issue in AZ but something to thunk about.:hmm:

Yeah, and I'll bet the Gorilla lock for wheels will fit that trigger guard on the HK, so you can travel in Californica legally.

Cool idea. Gotta love those German guns. More of a Walther man myself but close enough. :flipoff2:

I've given this some thought too. I've thought about what I'm going to do when (if) I ever get a swingout bumper. I currently don't have wheel lock lugs on any of my tires.

Nice! I'll check into this lockas soon as I get the tire carrier. For now my protection is a Viper security system and .40!

Huh? I dont have a clue what you're talking about.

Good idea.

I used one on my boat trailer spare and but had two problems - 1) they rust and 2) they are easily cut.

The rust may just be a poor quality lock set, and/or just a problem in the Northeast.

A hitch lock can be had for ~$8 at Wallyworld or HD. There're also made to be used outdoors.
