Hi - I've got an 80 series and a 62 series. I have no access to a 100 series for comparison on this one. There's a local LX470 for sale that the guy hit a deer in. I can't tell from the pictures if anything is bent beyond the cosmetic. I don't have an issue replacing condenser, radiator, trans cooler, headlights, etc....I've done all that on my others. Just trying to get an idea for any damage that would require a body shop. Thanks!

That radiator is toast. Crunch factor.

damage looks fixable but the lx470 parts are hard to come by and pretty Expensive.

The hood, but it looks fixable. It'll need paint afterwards though.
Can't see anything else, from your photos. I'd say you could save the money you'd pay for parts if it's totaled and you could get it as salvage.

Thanks for the replies - the guy hit a deer and the insurance totaled it out. So he's selling as-is with a salvage title.

I planned on replacing the radiator anyway - you know, paranoid about HG issues in the 80, so it carries over into every other vehicle you own.

I am going to look at it in-person and see the puzzle pieces, that will probably tell a lot more than these. My main concern was if the frame looked uneven or there were some interconnecting pieces that were bent all to hell. I see one tab, probably for the trim around the headlights or the actual headlights is bent.

core support can be pulled out, looks bent in the center lower
how much is he asking? I wouldn't go above $2500 depending on how the rest of the rig looks
what year is it?
parts alone are probably $1500+ depending on where you find them

It's a 99 with 226k. Recent timing belt with records. Very light surface rust on underneath. The rest of the body and interior are mint. He's wanting $4000 - I wasn't going to get anywhere close to that.

There are a few LX470s within a few hours at salvage yards that appear to have been in rear-end collisions, so there seem to be some decent parts fairly cheap (by LC standards). I also figured I would go with a winch bumper, so not too worried about the state of the current bumper.
