Update: Apparently I can't buy those recharge cans in Washington State anymore. I was hoping to "top it off" to see if the compressor comes on again (99% sure it will) and then use one of those freon sniffers to see if I can find the leak. My worry is that it's not fully pressurized anymore so the leak will be harder to detect.
My only other option is as follows:

- Take it to a shop for a full evacuation and recharge ($150)
- Take it home and check for leaks.
- If I find a leak, then take it back to have them recover the refridgerant.
- Come home, change whatever line (hopefully it's easy).
- Take it back to them and have them recharge it.
