AC troubleshooting in a 99 LX? (1 Viewer)

Update: Apparently I can't buy those recharge cans in Washington State anymore. I was hoping to "top it off" to see if the compressor comes on again (99% sure it will) and then use one of those freon sniffers to see if I can find the leak. My worry is that it's not fully pressurized anymore so the leak will be harder to detect.

My only other option is as follows:
  1. Take it to a shop for a full evacuation and recharge ($150)
  2. Take it home and check for leaks.
  3. If I find a leak, then take it back to have them recover the refridgerant.
  4. Come home, change whatever line (hopefully it's easy).
  5. Take it back to them and have them recharge it.
Am I missing something here?

Update 2: Video included...

I couldn't find a leak anywhere visually so I took it to a shop to recharge the AC. They pulled a vacuum an didn't note any leaks, but it apparently was down to 1/2 pound left in 10 months. Seems like it should be a pretty big leak that I would be able to see it? Anyway, I pulled the evap cover and used one of those AC sniffers from harbor freight. It sounds like there is a leak in the EVAP core but I haven't used one of these tools before. Does this video sound like a leak? If so, how bad? I put a black light on it and can't see anything so I am surprised it could be that big of a leak.

Any ideas???
