I'm looking to add an AC system to my rig. I have a 72 FJ40 with a sbc350 w/ a 4 spd. Question is, would it be best to use a Vintage Aire system or just use a stock AC unit from a pick-up/suburban? Looking for economy an performance. TIA

I'm starting the same process on a '75. I'm using Vintage Air for everything under the hood and Old Air Hurricane for everything inside the cab (to keep a more stock-ish appearance)

I wish my 72 looked so nice. No AC but I have the stock front heater and the rear heater is from a big van - I can drive around in 30 below weather with the windows down wearing shorts and a tank top.
