AC Fan Whistle? (1 Viewer)

Anybody have a fix for a high-pitched whistle from behind the instrument cluster when the fan blower is on? AC, no AC, I still get the whistle. It seems to get a little louder at the medium blower settings, but I think it is just masked by the sound of the air rushing through the system at the higher settings. Not super loud, but a little annoying. I searched, but couldn't come up with much.

Do you only get the whistle when the blower is on?

Reason I ask is there is a small cooling fan in the dash that blows on the back of the headunit. The sound might be coming from this fan as IIRC it runs all the time. It isn't regulated by the HVAC system.

I've got it....what mine is , is the passenger duct's "felt" is wore out. WHEN I CLOSE MINE, the whistling comes. This is the air "sneaking past" the closed flap inside the duct and thus a slight whistle..
