AC compressor (1 Viewer)

How hard is it to rebuild an AC compressor in an fj80. Mine leeks and I see you can buy kits for $50 from spector. I am very mechanical but I have never messed with AC units before.

Any help would be great.

Yes how about it? I've looked thru here to see if I could find anything on it. Just this really old thread. I would prefer to do the same. Land cruisers are thought to be so rebuildable with all the components but it always seems that AC Compressors are always treated as throw away. Well someone is obviously rebuilding them but who can tell me how?
