AC blowing hot air into driver footwell (1 Viewer)

Hi,

This may be normal, but I figured I'd ask.

First, I did do a search and looked at every topic, no luck.

So, what happens, when the AC is on, the center vent in the drivers footwell blows cold, but there also seems to be hot air being blown into the footwell, (maybe from the side)?

Is that normal? Or is there something in the ventiation ducting like a flapper valve or something that might be broken and cause this?

Anyone ever have a possible idea as to what is going on here? I experience it on long drive.

Is hot air blowing in through your steering shaft seal?

I had the exact same issue and replacing the steering shaft through the fire wall seal fix it.

Here is the link to the posting on how to replace the bad seal.

Hot drivers feet? This may be your fix.
