hi agn guys. hope this doesn't sound like a dumb question but just want to be sure. if one had a diesel 2H motor, 2H A440 bell housing with torque converter and flywheel, would this be a direct bolt on to an FJ 62 gas A440?

also, would a 12v diesel 2H starter from australia be a direct replacement for a canadian 24v starter?

--thnx for any help

Dont the diesel autos change at different RPM to the petrol autos?

i wonder how far off the shift points would be? ill be running 32's so i wouldn't mind if it held the gears a little longer.

as for the starter, thinking of going 12V complete FJ62 system. looks like the 2H australian 12v alternator would work fine, but would the 12v starter fit to a canadian 24v bell housing/ flywheel etc.??

if not, how do people do this swap and go 12v. start on 24v then run on 12v like 80 series? or get an australian HJ bell housing, flywheel etc. $$$!

i know i can just swap the entire wiring harness and go 24v, (been there and done that), but i found nicer FJ62 body and im sick of 24v ...

The little round thing on the front of the torque converter is not the same between the two,it will not fit in the rear of the crank.

AFAIK the 12v starter will fit the bellhousing. I dont think there is any difference to the size between 12v and 24v starters.
Some people convert their starters from one voltage to the other,so it must all fit in there:D

use the diesel valve-body and torque converter with your gas tranny, ur good to go.
