Has anyone used a A1 Cardone Window Motor, if so how was it. Its really cheap comparied to a SOR or toyota window motor.

thanks

If you can look at it and tell its built from a Toyota core, what the heck give it a try. If not, I'd pass and call Dan. Worst case is you'll be 1500 miles from home in a hail storm and it sticks in the down position.

Everything that I have ever used by A-1 Cardone has been absolute garbage. I went through about 5 of their "lifetime guarantee" Ford PS Pumps in a year. Same experience with an A-1 brake booster.

IMHO... if you get the A-1 you'll be doing this again very soon.

A-1 cardone sucks I have one, previous owner of 80 bless me with a window motor, basically its a repainted part. Window goes super slow compared to on with OEM motor

Thumbs Down!

I ordered a reman FJ-40 starter from O'Reilly's to get me by until I could rebuild my gear reduction starter. When it came in they laid they A-1 up on the bench and I said, "No thanks." He opened the box and inside was a rebuilt gear reduction Toyota core. In paid $39, ran it for 3 years until I sold the truck with no issues. That's the only A-1 product I ever bought. I guess you win some and you lose some.

A-1 Cardone

It tells you something when the manager at Pep Boys said to me 'I wouldn't install anything A-1 Cardone rebuilt.'

And their Ford remain power steering pumps might last 3 months before they have just as little boost as the worn out one you removed.

I used to laugh at the old duffer paying $135 for an alternator at the dealer instead of buying the $19.95 one at Checker. Now, I *am* that duffer!

Agreed. Life is too short to do the same job over and over (well, except for brakes). It's not why we bought Landcruisers.
