It's okay. I'm buying offsets.
Last summer I posted this...

https://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-tech/505331-new-fj40s-getting-1969-a.html

It took over a year, but "Wanda" is back on the road. :)

Here's a tally of what it took (to date):

Replaced gas tank
Rebuilt carburetor
Installed fuel pressure regulator
Replaced points, plugs, condensor, air filter and fan belt
Oil change
Battery and battery box
Voltage regulator
Flushed and replaced coolant
Thermostat
Clutch master cylinder
Brake master cylinder, front & rear wheel cylinders, section of brake line
Installed heater valve
Replaced headlight switch & dimmer switch
Installed new seat belts

I've put around 300 miles on it so far.

Thanks to everyone who has helped!

Installed fuel pressure regulator

Curious are you running a electric fuel pump? Never heard of one of these being needed with the stock mechanical fuel pump and a stock carb.

Nice looking cruiser you have but I'm guessing the bezel police will be checking in soon.

damn fine pair on yellow labs :)

Wanda is looking good
Thanks! Except maybe for below... (uh-oh)

Yes, the PO installed an electric fuel pump. The bezel . . . yeah, as soon as I looked back at my post I thought about that. The thing is that all of my time has been spent on things mechanical, not one thing cosmetic. I haven't even washed it. Moving it to the top of the new To Do list.

**** fine pair on yellow labs :)
Thanks. They're my buds, and they mean the world to me.

Might want to take a closer look at the drivers side cowl, near the hood. That rust doesn't look good. I don't think I've ever seen rust in that area before. Strange spot.

Man, I've got rust everywhere. There's a thick coat of paint that probably covered it up for a couple of years, but it's coming out with a vengeance.
