AEM FUEL/IGNITION CONTROLLER 30-1910 (replaced by the haltech 2000)
NGK 6364 Spark Plugs

Thanks to @bahamasair answered my questions about the Elite 2000+
Thanks @lilevo massive understanding on boosting the 1FZ-FE

Questions
Thoughts on running the NGK 6364 with the turbo?
The FAST eDist Electronic Distributor is set up for a LS motor, I think I can change it to run the 1FZ-FE. Thoughts on moving away from a cap for better spark timing?
E85 sounds nice and I can get a sensor for the the ECU, will the 1FZ-FE take E85 with engine management or will E85 it eat the s*** out of it?

Goal is 12-14 lbs of boost 300+HP to the ground!! Yum!

I only used the distributor for the cam home signal. I went coil on plug and run full sequential ignition. There is a guy in Australia that makes a bracket for mounting the coils and the electrical harness to wire them in. I also got an aluminum block off cap for the distributor from another guy in Aus to neaten everything up. If you’re not already a member there is a turbo Landcruiser group on Facebook 1fz-FE turbo Landcruisers is the name of the group there is a few people on there that sell stuff for the turbo cruisers.

It'll be nice to see my junk put to good use :) Also curious to see how it goes with the Haltech. I heard some rumblings about a harness to run the haltech in tandem with the stock ECU for emissions purposes :hmm:

From my time in the tuner world ... E85 can cause premature wear and damage to parts and seals if the system was not designed to run on E85. Plus, the guys I did know that were using it had to run way over-sized injectors and push a ton more fuel to get the same HP numbers as the regular fuel guys, so it counter balances the fuel cost savings.

Maybe try methanol injection instead? I know Haltech can control that, lots of high HP guys using it in the Z car community. A full stand alone ECU can be wired in with the stock ECU with enough know how so you get the best of both worlds such as working idiot lights and tach and such. I do not posses the know how, but found a tuner that built me a custom 1-off wiring harness for my Z to integrate a ViPec V88 into the stock setup to control an LS2 including the drive by wire throttle control.

I dont need to worry about emissions here. 👍. Ill be leaving the stock ECU in for the transmission.

Did you use the coil pack off of the 105 cruiser? Seems the land of Aus has all the cool s***.
I have seen that facebook group, I stay off of facebook.
Thanks

Really interested to see how that frozenboost IC works out. interesting radiator combo thing goin on. Would be super cool to be able to add this on to the wit's end kit potentially down the line or something similar as i'd like to add an IC eventually.

Looking forward to your build!

E85 is fine as long as you drive the truck 2x a week, and you'll get much more torque on E85 if the timing is tuned correctly.

You do not want to use the 105 series ignition they are not coil on plug they are batch fire.

That frozenboost intercooler is crap it is nowhere near 600hp. I have it.

I used Amazon product type coils. I got OEM but did use that same aftermarket one and never had a problem except the boot sticking to the plug on one and ripping off when I pulled the coil.

May go for the dual tune, we have E85 all over here but its not always easy to find.
I figured you have the same intercooler. Do you have Close ups of the mounts or a link? It almost looks like I am going to have to move my cruise control or whatever that unit is. Tight tight placement.

Those are sick! Thank you! Now I know what to look for.
Wonderful they fit without issue!

Yeah I at one point bought a new core and was going to have a new IC fabbed up, but the fabricator thought the core I bought was too large so I am still using the frozenboost but have also added methanol injection. I would spring for a good intercooler the first time around if I was doing it again.

Don't really have pics of the mount but it was pretty simple a U off of an existing fireall hole and an L to an existing fender hole. Cruise control still lives below it.
