A little help with towing capacity (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone,

I am not a mechanical guy like most of you, so please forgive my question(s) based on this forum (https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/air-lift-1000-install.487915/)

I remove the shock (got that) and then it says to remove the "Sway Bar Nut/Bolt". I see the sway bar connected in several different places. Which bolt am I removing exactly?

Also, I don't know much about that coil. So if I remove the sway bar nut/bolt and place jack stands under the trailer hitch, the axle drops enough that the coils just come out?

From here I can see how I can remove the bump stopper, drill a larger hole for the airlines, and put everything back in place. But those two steps/items are holding me up.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I have a 2000 with stock suspension and gearing. I have added 285's, a brake controller, and AirLift airbags. I pull around 6000lbs quite often. It pulls surprisingly well. (And this is coming from someone who traded a Cummins for the LX.) On the passes, you are in 3rd gear and 45 mph. That is just how it is in pretty much any 1/2 ton. Don't try to keep up with the diesels and you will be just fine.

As you can see, with the airbags I don't sag in the rear. No matter how loaded I am.

just catching up here. How was towing long distance at higher elevation?

I just towed a 7000lb+ trailer from FL to OR. I created a post about what is needed for such a mission.
