A/C system error? (1 Viewer)

Hey all

our 2011 gx460 just started showing an “A/C system error” on the info screen when we hit the screen button. The AC button itself also flashes. We never got any manuals with out truck (supposed to, but they never materialized). Does anyone happen to know if this is a common issue & something we should target to fix, or does this need to go to the dealer for a fix?

any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

HVAC troubleshooting

Hold down the AUTO and RECIRC button while turning the car on into accessory mode. No need to start vehicle.

My fj cruiser a/c button would blink and start blowing warm air. It was the relay under the hood. Under $30 at the parts store and over $90 at the dealer.

I'm getting a "00" flashing which isn't one of the HVAC DTC's; anyone know why or what "00" represents?

On the 460 anyway… 00
means normal and no issues detected

Weird... I'm getting a System Error message but 00 is what blinks when I go into the troubleshooting mode. I'll try again today a d make sure I'm not doing something wrong in the test set-up

Sorry... wife's 2011 GX

I hit the start button once to get to ACC
Wait 5 seconds
Hold Auto and Auto/Recirc down together
Hit the start button again (no brake) to get to IGN
The screen flashes a bunch but the temperature display for the driver just flashes 00
Hitting the driver temp up arrow or the Auto button doesn't seem to cycle through the different test modes as indicated by the FSM glow chart above

Aside from the error is something specific not working?

I got the climate control error and ac did not blow cold air afterwards. This happens ooccasionally. I did the steps and got the 00. Anybody else have the climate control error and gotten an error code?

Sorry for the long delay... I forgot about this after I got the transmission replaced and A/C repaired. The system was working normally. no issues cooling (although it was still cool out) but they found the A/C Pressure switch was bad. Replaced it and recharged the system and no issues ever since.

@Gx460sd - I got the "00" as well, could never get any other code to come up although the shop did find an issue... not sure why?? good luck!
