I have the opportunity to get the A/C from a 1980 Chevy Silverado Pickup. Will it work in my 78 FJ-40 with a 1973 Chevy V-8? If so, other then the compressor, what else do I need to make sure I get from the donor truck. And what is the best way to tap into my existing vent system or do I have to pull that and customize one.
Thnx

The condensor, evaporator, expansion valve(s), drier, hoses switches, and so on.
Get everything that looks like it might have anything to do with the AC. You may want to look at
an AC manual. You will need to build housings for in the truck and duct work. Sounds like a
project to me, but I thinnk it is do able. Check out the Hot Rod sites those guys have it down.
Check BTB too they halped me get a line on parts.
