I see Air Conditioning kits all the time for 1974 up but nothing for 69-70. Were the blocks different? Hass anyone done this on a 69?

    Thanks,

The drillings are different from '74 and up. The '74(F and a half) is basically a 2F, oiled like a 2F, but with the old displacement. For instance, you can flip the alternator to the pass side with a 2F alt bracket. If you run PS, then you will need a 3 groove crank pulley or some creative engineering, seen that done. Hope this answers your question. It can probably be done, but with some additional figgerin'. The reason the kit is offered for '74 and up is that it would be more of a bolt on with the "newer" block.
