My AC has not been working but havent really messed with it yet due to some more important issues. The 6 hour ride to the coast this past week reminded me to fix the ac.
Ive noticed that the inner clutch drags and turns even with the ac off. THere is black gunk on the outside of the cluth as well. There is also noticible play it the inner ring of the clutch. Does it sound like a clutch or bearing issue or both. I would rather rebuild the compressor than buy a new one, due to threads ive read about reliability of the newer ones.
